Abstract
Tuberculosisrampant infectiousdiseaseisconsidered tobetheforemost causeofdeathcaused by Mycobacterium tuberculi. Ethambutol(400 mg) is a one of the most important “firstline” drug recommended by WorldHealth Organization (WHO)forthe treatment of tuberculosis. Ethambutoland differentproportions of additives weremixed. Tabletscontaining400mg equivalent toEthambutol werecompressed on sixteenpunchtableting compressionmachine. Fromtheinvitrodissolutiondata,itcanbeconcluded thatEudragitRL100 hadretarding capacity ofdrugfrombeingreleased. Thisretardantcapacitywas morein ME4sinteredat5.5hrascomparedtoallotherformulationsand releasekineticsmodelfollowsHiguchidiffusionmodel.Thedrugreleasefrom ME411hrwas found84.50±0.04slowascomparedwithallformulationsatallsinteringtimes.
